Bienvenido was invited to meet with Governor Samuel Garcia in Monterrey, Mexico to discuss Texas and Nuevo León trade investments, discuss the border project, and meet with Monterrey's leading business executives.

Texas Secretary of State John Scott joined Bienvenido's Texas delegation. Bienvenido's discussion centered on the importance of increasing security measures between the Texas- Nuevo León border with the Port of Columbia project from the government of Nuevo León.

Monterrey has a thriving business community. It is home to the headquarters of major Mexican companies such as Cemex and Bimbo, Mercedes, BMW, Samsung, Boeing, and General Electric. Monterrey is Mexico’s wealthiest city in terms of per capita income. It is also known as one of Latin America’s best locations for foreign investments. Our delegation had the opportunity to meet with the state's largest business executives.
